VOLUNTEERING AT EASTERN PINES FIRE-RESCUE-EMS Looking for a way to serve your community? Want to learn invaluable and marketable lifesaving skills, or put your existing skills to use in the field? Looking for a volunteer job that is a rush and far from the ordinary? If you answered "Yes" to any or all of these questions, Eastern Pines may be right for you! We are always in need of volunteers we would love for you to join our team! While many volunteers come to us from other emergency services backgrounds, prior experience is not required. Initial certification and continuing education training is provided through Pitt Community College, and associated fees are waived for qualified volunteers. We will provide you with the training and the tools to succeed. You provide the drive and commitment; we'll do the rest! Note: while many of our members cross-staff both the fire and EMS departments, membership in both divisions is not required.

Want to take a test drive? Prospective members are encouraged to participate in our ride-along program as an observer to see if Eastern Pines is right for them. Observers must schedule (some restrictions apply) their rides in advance with the scheduling officer and complete a release form.
